Dr Steve Goddard, Oxford East Lib Dems parliamentary spokesman, has written to Ed Balls, the Secretary of State for Schools urging him to reject the County Council's attempts to replace the Oxford School's board of Governors.

Steve said "It's really important that local parents have a real say over the future of the school. It looks like the County are trying to get rid of local governors in order to push through their academy plans. This is unacceptable. Mr Balls needs to listen to local people and allow the local community to have it's say on the future of Oxford School."
