Norman Lamb MP & Steve Goddard meet staff at the JR

Last week Norman Lamb joined Steve Goddard, Oxford Lib Dems Parliamentary Spokesman, in a visit to maternity services at the John Radcliffe hospital. Norman and Steve had a briefing from the NHS Trust and then met with patients and medical staff on a tour of several wards, including the Silver Star Unit.

Steve said "The John Radcliffe is one of the best hospitals in the world and it is crucial that our health services are protected. In particular the Silver Star unit is a hugely important service and we must do everything we can to make sure that the problems it faced over the summer are not repeated."

"I'd like to thank the staff and patients for telling Norman and I about the important issues facing our health service in Oxford."
