Steve said "The current situation is a total fiasco. I know as a lecturer that thousands of students are suffering due to the mistakes of the SLC. Students have been contacting me saying that their applications have been lost in the system and they don't know if they are going to get any help at all. To make matters worse many people are really struggling to get any answers from the authorities. This mess needs to be sorted out immediately."
In Steve's letter he has asked the SLC to sort out the finance many students are entitled to before it's too late. He has also asked them to improve their communication with students affected, who are struggling to get answers, and put in place robust mechanisms to prevent this happening next year.
